Fida Restoration is named after the founder's mother. This is a constant reminder to treat our clients with care and their best intentions in mind.
We are always on the look-out for new technologies and materials which will improve the quality of construction we deliver and lower our carbon footprint. Our long term goal is to lower the carbon footprint in construction and buildings and we do this by exploring the use of different materials, learning about new technologies, and finding better ways to protect concrete structures.
Safety is paramount in everything that we do. Fida Restoration utilizes a detailed safety program which every employee has to sign and follow. We invest in training our team and having the right PPE to ensure that the jobs are being completed safely. No job is without hazards, however we ensure a safe work environment by engaging our staff in weekly safety talks where hazards are identified and mitigation measures are communicated.
Meet the Founder
Shawn Eldebs, MBA, BASc
Founder of Fida Restoration
Shawn Eldebs attended the University of Waterloo and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialty in structural engineering. In 2012, he received his Masters in Business Administration from Laurier University. During his university years, Shawn got his feet wet in the construction world by starting off as a materials tester. This exposed him to a multitude of construction industries which allowed him to gain valuable experience. Later on he worked for brand name companies such as Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), and Aecon.
Immediately after graduating, Shawn spent 5 years working as a site supervisor in the heavy civil bridge restoration industry. His most notable project during this time is the rehabilitation of the Prince Edward Viaduct in Toronto in which he managed over 800 cubic meters of structural concrete replacement in 8 months. Since then, Shawn has spent 4 years in the building restoration sector working for one of the largest restoration firms in Canada.
With a passion for buildings and sustainability, his engineer mindset, and decade long experience in concrete restoration, Shawn is combining these elements and delivering a better experience and product to his clients.
